Sofia

Early Childhood & Behaviour Consultant

Sofia holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Neuroscience and Neuropsychology, where her studies sparked a passion for exploring neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental conditions. Before joining Hatchlings, she gained a wealth of experience across diverse settings. Her journey includes conducting research in Developmental Neuroscience and working directly with children and young people in both home and school-based ABA programs, as well as special educational needs schools.

Thanks to her past experiences, Sofia has deepened her understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum and various early intensive behavioural intervention programs. In her previous role, she specialised in reducing challenging behaviours and providing tailored interventions to address individual cognitive, socio-emotional, and behavioural needs.

Sofia’s approach underscores learning through play, and she thrives on creativity, constantly seeking alternative methods to ensure that learning is enjoyable and engaging. She is also keenly interested in delivering more naturalistic interventions, recognising the importance of creating interventions that align with the natural routines and activities of children. By providing practical guidance and supporting parent involvement, she aims to create a collaborative approach that maximises positive outcomes for the whole family.

Outside of work, Sofia enjoys taking long walks to explore London, attending yoga classes, and planning her next trip!
